Shark Guardian recently visited Bali, the Gili Islands, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, delivering educational presentations to partner dive centers, diving guests and the community. It’s been 3 years since Shark Guardian were last in Indonesia so all events were really well attended. Plus three Scuba Junkie dive centers in Indonesia became our newest Shark Guardian Dive centers – this is wonderful news especially when the Scuba Junkie brand is always considered very high up on the list when it comes to ocean conservation and environmental awareness!
Here’s a summary and some photos from the seven events hosted at Shark Guardian dive centers. Almost 500 people in total joined Brendon and Liz for some fun shark filled evenings.
GILI TRAWANGAN
Blue Marlin were the first to host Shark Guardian. The audience included some children who were riveted by the information and videos.
GILI AIR
Always nice to return to Oceans 5 Dive followed by Blue Marine a few days later. Blue Marine Trawangan organized a boat from their island resulting in 30 people heading over for the evening! The audience also included a group of students from America.
NUSA PENIDA
A new location for Shark Guardian! Fantastic turn out from this new dive community. Shark guardian is proud to have Scuba Junkie Penida, Scuba Junkie Komodo and Scuba Junkie Sangalaki as registered Shark Guardian Dive Centers.
NUSA LEMBONGAN
There was a fantastic turn out at French Kiss Divers – this was the first time Shark Guardian presented there. And it’s always great to return to World Diving, a dive Center who have supported Brendon, Liz and the team from the first Shark Guardian tour in 2013.
Bali
Rounding things off in style, another fantastic turn out at Joes Gone Diving. The Dive Center ran a raffle and donated drinks profits to the Shark Guardian charity, adding extra fun to the evening.
Thank you to everyone who supported helped organize and/or attended these events. See you next time!
